Sometimes it is impossible not to think about cinema, which is the youngest kind of art, and its capability of influencing the cultural audience. In times of globalization cinema has found its place in different directions – from short movies to TV series.

Visualization has always been the main way of conveying information to people. On the whole, the development of cinema and its commercialization has resulted in cinema being the greatest source of information for mankind.

So, is the existence without cinema possible and who needs this kind of existence? Of course we should mention the fact, that 100 years ago people had no cinema and the books were the main source of knowledge. So, is cinema useful enough to fill other kinds of art with its scopes? Ray Bradbury once said: There are worse crimes than burning books. One of them is not reading them.”  Could we suppose that there would not be any movies without books? Time will tell if it is true and if the art of cinema will be able to develop all by itself. But as long as there is a certain trend and cinema develops in different directions, we should talk about such concept as “topicality of cinema”.

Among young generation there is a point of view that watching a movie is better and more interesting than reading a book or visiting an exhibition. So, if the vast majority of people like it better to get information from movies, than we can say that there certainly is a demand for cinema.

It is important to filter what you watch wisely. The modern world dictates its terms, which make it difficult to have a good sense in the quality of product. Today`s cinema is pretty structured. If the person wants to find something specific, after all he will have to read the classic literature, that clearly explains what is good and what is bad. But in circumstances where nowadays development of cinema takes place in a monetary manner it is difficult to develop yourself and acquire the proper amount of information.

Actually, we can say this about each kind of art – artists do their paintings and authors write books in order to sell them and make good money. We can talk about it quite a lot and it is more like a reasoning about “Art development tendencies”, so let us go back to cinema.

It should be noted that cinema will exist as long as viewer exists. The topicality of a few movies can replace hundreds of read books. What counts most is getting the essence of the subject and conveying it properly. The viewer must be able to understand this essence and learn something new from it. Any movie that has this kind of effect deserves attention. The audience is in need for cinema as an information cell. This information can be received in many different ways, and I think, that cinema will be one of the leading directions of art for a very long time.
